My contribution to the “what’s in my bag?” meme.
Off topic, but does anyone have any recommended resources on color/color theory? I’m familiar with the basics, but I’d like to learn more. Even if it’s a book or a (well organized) tutorial online. I can find a ton of resources by Googling, but I’d like to know what others recommend.
Getting heavily into the musculature of the face and portrait drawing. I’m really starting to figure this out now. Previously, I had been thinking of the head as a sphere and I always had proportional issues. My instructor showed me how to think of it as a box, and MAN that was helpful. I am starting to see the face more in terms of angles.
Looks good! You really seem to understand the underlying structure. Nice values and mark making, as my teachers always put it.
I need to remind myself to set up heads as if they’re boxes.
First #inktober drawing (which I actually did do on Oct 1st, lazy about scanning). I guess I might be doing it wrong since I added the inkwash for value.
Edit: Forgot to mention I referenced this from stock from this tumblr, which has tons of great figures for drawing. NSFW because of nudes, obviously.
